Dr Charu Tyagi

Senior Associate

Dr Charu Tyagi is a Senior Associate in the Air Quality Policy and Outreach group at CSTEP.

She has completed her PhD in Environmental Science (Air Quality) and her Master’s in Environment Management from Guru Gobind Singh Indraprastha University, Delhi. She has completed her Bachelor’s in Botany from Ramjas College, Delhi University.

Prior to joining CSTEP, Dr Charu worked as a Senior Consultant for the Commission for Air Quality Management in NCR and Adjoining Areas, where she led the work on prevention and control of air pollution from agricultural stubble burning, construction and demolition activities, and open municipal waste burning. She has also worked as Project Scientist ‘B’ in India Meteorological Department.

Her areas of interest include air pollution monitoring, policy development, abatement of air pollution from crop-residue burning and municipal solid waste.
