Emil Varghese

Senior Associate

Emil Varghese is a Senior Associate in the Air Quality Observations Group at CSTEP.

She completed her Bachelor’s in Civil Engineering from Mahatma Gandhi University, Kerala, and is currently pursuing integrated MTech and PhD in Environmental Engineering at the Indian Institute of Technology Madras, Chennai.

Prior to joining CSTEP, she worked as a Research Assistant at the Indian Institute of Technology Madras, Chennai. She was awarded the Best Poster Award at the European Aerosol Conference (EAC 2023) for the poster centred on her doctoral research.

Her areas of interest include ambient air-quality monitoring using advanced online and offline measurement techniques, bioaerosol characterisation, and environmental data analysis.
