Building the Backbone of India’s Energy Future
The group supports India’s renewable energy goals by working with transmission utilities to strengthen infrastructure. It conducts network analysis to design power evacuation schemes, assess technical feasibility, and enable seamless integration of renewables for a reliable and resilient electricity supply.
Contribution to the Grand Challenges
To accelerate India’s Green Energy Transition, our work focuses on strengthening transmission infrastructure to integrate and evacuate renewable energy efficiently. As renewable capacity grows, so does the need for robust, future-ready transmission networks. We assist transmission utilities by conducting detailed network analysis, assessing technical feasibility, and designing power evacuation schemes. Our research helps identify grid bottlenecks, optimise infrastructure planning, and support policy development for reliable and cost-effective energy delivery. By enabling higher renewable energy penetration through smarter grid planning, we contribute to building a resilient, low-carbon energy system that supports India’s sustainability and energy security goals.
