Anasuya Gangopadhyay

Senior Associate

Anasuya Gangopadhyay is a Senior Associate in the Mitigation group of the Climate, Environment and Sustainability sector at CSTEP.

She is pursuing her PhD from Divecha Centre for Climate Change, Indian Institute of Science, Bengaluru, and has submitted her thesis on model-based evaluation of multiple solutions to grid integration challenges of large-scale renewable power. She completed her MTech in Software Systems (Data Analytics) from Birla Institute of Technology and Science, Pilani, and her BE in Electrical Engineering from Bengal Engineering and Science University, Shibpur.

Prior to joining CSTEP, she worked as a Research Associate at the National Institute of Advanced Studies (NIAS),  as Design Engineer at Conergy Energy Systems (I) Pvt. Ltd, and as Project Engineer (Project Management – Process Automation) at ABB Ltd.

Her areas of interest include data analytics, energy modelling, renewable energy, energy access, sustainability, distributed generation, energy poverty, and energy management and policy.
