Strategies to reduce Air pollution in Punjab and North India

Strategies to reduce Air pollution in Punjab and North India

  1. : CSTEP is closely working with Punjab Pollution Control Board and Commission for Air Quality Management for Delhi NCR (CAQM) to develop strategies derived from Air Quality Modelling, for North India. For Punjab, we have developed a policy brief of managing stubble using ex-situ options.

Under the MoU with PPCB, CSTEP will help develop a regional strategy for the Transport Sector, assist in developing State Action Plan, and engage with Municipal Bodies, State Departments and PPCB officials via capacity building workshops. CSTEP will also provide actionable strategies for multiple sectors using state-of-the-art air quality modelling techniques, offer knowledge support to PPCB on air quality monitoring, help streamline air quality data and modernisation of data management processes.
