Responsibilities
- Join the team in building models to better understand the future from the perspective of climate change mitigation, air quality, and overall sustainability.
- Daily tasks may include a combination of three or more of the following: literature reviews, data collection, modelling logic development, system dynamics modelling, brainstorming sessions, ideation, concept note generation for new projects, and writing.
- Contribute to research publications by preparing articles, research papers, op-eds, blogs etc.
- Participate in relevant conferences and workshops, as required.
- Establish communication and coordinate for data collection/analysis with relevant stakeholders (government, industry, and academia).
Qualifications
- Master’s degree or its equivalent in Climate Science/Environmental Studies/Energy/Engineering/Atmospheric Sciences or a related field.
Experience
- 6-8 years of relevant experience.
Skill Set
- Good understanding of systems thinking and a multidisciplinary mindset.
- Modelling expertise, particularly with system dynamics and/or air quality models (Python coding skills preferred).
- Sound understanding of climate change and air pollution science, and decarbonisation strategies across sectors.
- Good communication skills.
- Proficiency in the Microsoft Office suite.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Self-motivated and driven to complete tasks on time.
